Wan Li Bridge,
in 1984, by Sun Shouzhuang
This
is a typical picture of a water town. The slab-stone bridge, called Wan Li
Bridge, was an important passage leading to He Hua Road (Water Lily Road).
As the Big South Gate (no more a gate but a certain area around the former
gate) has been completely reconstructed, there are no more Wan Li Bridge or
other scenes that featured the water town, which only become part of the
memory of the old city.
